The PSR-I610 features 50 Indian instrument Voices and 70 Indian Styles, delivering a wide range of authentic Indian musical expressions alongside high-quality piano and other Voices. Newly added and re-recorded sounds enhance overall realism and performance quality. Expressive nuances of instruments such as Bansuri and Santoor are accurately reproduced using Super Articulation Lite technology. Dedicated Indian music features, including Riyaz with Tabla, Mridangam, and Tanpura, as well as Raga and Geetam, support both learning and creative exploration.

The PSR-I610 is equipped with powerful built-in speakers (12 W × 2), delivering a strong, immersive sound that enables live performance without the need for an external PA system. A dedicated microphone input allows you to sing and play simultaneously (microphone sold separately). For larger venues, the PSR-I610 offers independent L/L+R and R outputs for connection to a PA system or external speakers, ensuring clear, high-quality sound. Enhanced performance control is provided through pitch bend and modulation wheels, a portamento button, and expression pedal support, capturing subtle performance nuances and offering greater expressive capability than the PSR-I510.

The PSR-I610 turns creative ideas into dynamic performances with intuitive, performance-focused features. The Looper function lets you record, layer, and repeat musical phrases, seamlessly combining them with Styles for engaging solo performances. Auto Chord Play automatically follows a preset chord progression, freeing your left hand for real-time control and creative expression. With Quick Sampling, you can import sounds from a PC or record your own voice and assign them to the four Sampling Pads, expanding performance possibilities and adding unique sound effects.

The PSR-I610 offers an extensive sound library with 927 high-quality instrument Voices, providing exceptional versatility for a wide range of musical styles and performance needs.

The automatic accompanyment (Style) function has been further enhanced, allowing you to switch between support functions to suit the way you play.

You can use the rhythm patterns of Tabla/Mridangam and Tanpura to accompany performances or practice Ragas.

The PSR-I610 supports free Yamaha apps such as Rec’n’Share, enabling easy recording of performances and direct sharing to social media, and MIDI Song to Style, which converts MIDI song files into auto-accompaniment Style data. Creative possibilities are further expanded with the Quick Sampling function, allowing short musical phrases to be recorded and assigned to the Quick Sampling button. Using the SYNC function, sample playback is precisely synchronized to the next Style measure, ensuring perfectly timed performance integration.
